Crowd Clippers · For organisers

Local creators.
Local views.

Put up a views budget for your show. Approved clippers near you turn it into short videos for their own audiences, and you pay per 1,000 views from people in your area, the ones who can actually come.

Budgets from A$1,000. 15% service fee on top. No other campaign fee.

The model

A budget, a rate, and your area.

From A$1,000

Your views budget

You choose the budget and the rate per 1,000 local views. All of the budget goes to clippers, first come, until it is used. A cap per clip stops one video taking it all.

15% on top

Crowd’s service fee

Charged on top of the budget when you submit the campaign, so a A$1,000 budget is A$1,150 all in. Clippers keep 100% of the rate. There is no other campaign fee.

Local views

Pay for people who can come

A clip’s verified views count only for the share of the clipper’s audience in your area, from their latest platform insights. Going viral in the wrong country earns nothing.

Setting the rate

A$0.10 to A$3.00 per 1,000 local views.

A higher rate tends to interest bigger accounts but buys fewer views for the same budget. The builder shows the guide and the views your budget pays for as you move the slider. It is a guide from what clipping campaigns pay, not a promise: who joins also depends on your show, your area and your brief.

  1. A$0.10 to A$0.70New and growing local clippersSuits a first campaign or a tight budget. Expect smaller accounts building their audience, and more of them.
  2. A$0.80 to A$1.70Established local creatorsA rate that regular clippers with a steady local following tend to take up.
  3. A$1.80 to A$3.00Top local creators and niche influencersMore likely to interest the bigger local accounts and creators known in your niche. Fewer local views for the same budget.

What clippers make

Pick one or more.

  • Cut from our media

You upload footage, photos, logos and brand notes. Clippers cut them into short videos.

  • Talk to camera (UGC)

Clippers film themselves talking about your show, in their own words and style.

  • Event recap

Clippers come to the show and post recap and hype reels that tag it. Paid on views too.

Commission on sales

A rate for every item.

Choose views, sales or both. On a sales campaign each clipper gets their own code and link for your event, and you set what they earn on each thing it sells.

  • A percent, a flat amount, or both, for each ticket type, each stall type and each add-on.
  • Switch commission off for anything you would rather keep out of it.
  • Give buyers a discount on a clipper’s code if you like.
  • Commission is earned only on paid orders, and comes off again if an order is refunded.
  • Nothing is charged up front for commission.

How it works

Five steps to your first clips.

  1. 1

Sign up or sign in to Crowd

Clippers campaigns live in your Crowd workspace. New to Crowd? Sign up with your show’s details; it takes a few minutes.

  2. 2

    Build the campaign

Goal, what to make, your area, the budget and rate, and commission per item.

  3. 3

    Upload your media kit

Logos, footage, photos and brand notes, kept private. Approved clippers get links that expire.

  4. 4

    Pay and submit

The budget plus the service fee. We check the brief and media kit, then open the campaign to local clippers.

  5. 5

    Approve the clips

Watch the budget spent and remaining, and approve or reject each clip as it comes in.

FAQ

Questions organisers ask.

Anything else, email clippers@usecrowd.co.

Do I need to sell my tickets on Crowd?

Not for a views campaign: you need a Crowd workspace to run it, wherever you sell. Commission on sales tracks each clipper’s code through your Crowd checkout, so a sales campaign needs your tickets or stalls on Crowd.

Is there a minimum?

A views budget starts at A$1,000. Crowd’s 15% service fee is charged on top of it. There is no other campaign fee, and a sales-only campaign has no up-front charge.

What is a local view?

A verified view on a clip, counted for the share of the clipper’s audience in the area you target. A clipper with 60% of their audience in your state who gets 10,000 views is paid for 6,000 local views. Clippers can only join when enough of their audience is in your area (40% by default, and you can change it).

Can you promise a number of views or sales?

No. Nobody can. Clippers are paid only for verified local views, at your rate and up to your cap per clip, from the budget you set. The builder shows how many local views the budget pays for, as a guide.

Who are the clippers?

Short-form creators who applied to Crowd Clippers and were approved, with their audience location checked from their platform insights. Every paid post must be marked as an ad.

Can I stop a campaign?

Yes. Pause it, resume it, or close it from your campaign page. Clips you reject are not paid.
